Pastor Will Martin
Teacher. Leader. Visionary. Counselor.
Born and raised in western Kentucky, Will served in the US Marine Corps for eight years. While serving his community as a police officer, God called him to full-time pastoral ministry. Through building and leading several international mission teams, God has given Will a greater understanding of a biblical world view. He served as an associate pastor on a mega-church staff in Florida for nine years as part of the executive leadership team and provided oversight to various ministries in the church. He gave vision to a non-profit ministry through which he and his wife, Lisa, assisted in placing over sixteen-hundred orphans into loving homes. He established a monthly outreach to local orphans in the independent living program at Holston Home for Children. For six years in Tennessee, Will served as the chaplain for the middle and high school football teams. He is gifted to identify and develop ministry leaders and pastors in church planting, church transplanting and church growth.
Will’s teaching is challenging, biblically accurate, conversational in style, with direct life application. He is passionate about living out the Ephesians four model of “equipping God’s people for works of service.” Will continues to learn and grow both academically and spiritually while challenging and encouraging believers to be the church.
He and his wife Lisa have nine children; three of whom were adopted through local foster care. The Martin’s have mentored several children in foster care over the past fifteen years. He and his family enjoy laughter, exercising, hiking, camping and most any competitive sport. Most importantly, Will and Lisa enjoy spending time together as a family every day.
To his church and community, Will is the voice of hope, encouragement and wisdom.
